Graham W. Bell

Oh hey. I’m a copywriter and editor living in Houston, TX by way of Brooklyn and the Pacific Northwest. Not sure what to say? I can help.

My background in journalism and education has made accessibility and legibility my key concerns. Why use jargon and confusing language when simple and direct work best?

Behind the scenes, I wrote and edited several successful grant applications that multiplied the ACK budget exponentially.

Motko

Turning research and facts into digestible social posts and catchy articles, I help to engage the company’s subscribers and teach employees about health and well-being.

Hitting the Wall

Working with the Creative Director at NY-based Whistle on this project for the official Olympics Network, I created several scripts and basic narrative structures for crossover episodes that paired fitness influencers with Olympic athletes in a series of challenges.

The Brooklyn Rail
New York, NY

Rue Defense
Houston, TX
In my free time, I run a small music label that focuses on up and coming acts from Portland, Brooklyn, and everywhere in between. As the founder and head of PR, I write bios and EPKs, pitch to media outlets, and advise artists on everything from tape design to social strategy.

I’ve spent over a decade working with words in the arts and culture space, and have created bespoke texts for galleries, artists, and non-profits who rely on me to translate abstract ideas and visuals into concise copy that helps their audience to better understand.

Do you have big ideas that need organizing? Is your bio a little boring? Ready to apply for a life-changing grant?
